The 45-year-old bicyclist was crossing Sunset Cliffs Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle around 11:30 a.m. Monday, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police said the driver of the vehicle briefly stopped before continuing north and then fleeing east on Brighton Avenue.
Using surveillance footage, police were able to identify the suspect’s vehicle. It is described as a white, four-door crossover vehicle with silver alloy wheels. Police said the vehicle may likely have damage to the front passenger side.
