A man fell and died Friday morning when a group of migrants attempted to climb the over border wall in Otay Mesa.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, San Diego Fire-Rescue and San Diego Police responded to the scene of the incident, which was reported just before 5 a.m.
Authorities said one man was pronounced dead at the scene. Five other people were transported to a hospital.
The injury occurred in the fog on the wall along La Media Road near Drucker Lane.
