A jogger came across the body of an unidentified man Friday on a hiking trail in Rancho Bernardo.
The discovery near the intersection of Pomerado and Highland Valley roads was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m., according to the San Diego Police Department.
There were no immediate signs of suspicious circumstances in connection with the death of the man, who appeared to have been about 40 years old, SDPD Officer David O’Brien said.
The county Medical Examiner’s Office was called in to take custody of the body for autopsy and identification purposes.
