Crews evacuated occupants of a Mission Valley apartment complex Sunday as firefighters put out a blaze in one of the apartments.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department received reports of the fire at 3 p.m. Sunday at CentrePoint Apartments, 6546 Friars Road, west of Fashion Valley mall.
Personnel saw smoke coming from the roof of one apartment and determined it had spread to an attic. Crews had the fire under control by 3:30 p.m.
