A driver fired shots at a man in a different vehicle in the Chollas View neighborhood Tuesday, but no injuries were reported.
At around 4 a.m., officers responded to reports of a man driving a Dodge Charger that was struck by gunfire at least three times in the 400 block of Hilltop Drive near Escuela Street, San Diego police said. The shots were fired by a motorist in a white SUV, according to police.
The victim told officers the suspect pulled up next to him while at a red light, questioned him, then pulled out a gun, Fox5 reported. The suspect shot at the victim’s vehicle three times before fleeing west on Hilltop Drive.
No injuries were reported.
It was not immediately clear how many people were in the SUV at the time of the shooting.
