Officers arrested a woman driving the wrong way in the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 Saturday after she stopped her vehicle just south of Gopher Canyon Road.

The California Highway Patrol began chasing the driver at 4:22 p.m. by keeping pace with her on the northbound side, according to a CHP incident log.

Officers took her into custody at 5:13 p.m., a CHP dispatcher said.

She allegedly sideswiped a couple of vehicles, the dispatcher said, but no other motorists suffered injuries in the incident, which concluded around Bonsall.

Official did not note what charges the woman might face or whether they suspect her of driving under the influence.
