A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries Saturday in Pacific Beach when a ride-share driver hit him while making a left turn.
The male driver of an Uber with passengers inside attempted to make the turn from northbound Mission Boulevard to westbound Pacific Beach Drive shortly before 7 p.m. according to OnScene.TV.
The car hit the motorcycle, headed southbound on Mission Boulevard, and the force threw the rider from his bike.
Medics sent the motorcyclist to Scripps La Jolla Hospital for treatment. San Diego police shut down both directions of Mission to investigate.
