One person died Saturday in a solo crash in Fallbrook, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol received reports of the crash, on the southbound side of Interstate 15 at Mission Road, at 5:51 p.m.
The CHP said the vehicle had been speeding when it veered off the right side of the roadway and down an embankment.
The person who died was not wearing a seatbelt, according to a CHP log.
