It took firefighters about 10 minutes Wednesday to gain control of a Chollas Creek-area apartment fire, authorities said.

The non-injury blaze in the 3600 block of Altadena Avenue erupted for unknown reasons about 10:45 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The San Diego Metro Arson Strike Team was called in to investigate, SDFRD spokeswoman Maria Gamez said.

Gamez said no other information about the fire was immediately available, though OnScene.TV reported a family of five was displaced.
