Two pedestrians died Wednesday evening after being struck by a car on North Harbor Drive in Point Loma, the San Diego Harbor Police reported.

A vehicle traveling at high speed struck the two people as they crossed in 5000 block of North Harbor Drive just after 6 p.m.

The two victims — described only as a man and woman between the ages of 55 and 65 — were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, who was described as a man between the age of 35 and 45, stopped and cooperated with police.
