A 53-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Friday night as he crossed a street in Linda Vista.
San Diego Police said the man had crossed Linda Vista Road south of Genesee Avenue at 7:46 p.m. and was approaching the east curb when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.
The driver of what police described as a “dark SUV” did not stop.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where he subsequently died.
