A pedestrian was struck and killed early Sunday morning on Route 67 in Lakeside.
The fatal crash was reported at 2:34 a.m. at the intersection with San Vicente Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
A videographer at the scene said the female driver of the vehicle stopped and called 911 and was later taken to a hospital.
No further information was immediately available.
