A woman suffered serious injuries Thursday morning when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver near a Casa de Oro intersection, authorities said.
The pedestrian was struck about 1 a.m. near Kenwood Drive and Kenora Drive, just north of state Route 94, California Highway Patrol Officer Jeff Christy said.
The victim, a homeless woman who lives in the area, was taken to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, which were not believed to be life- threatening, Christy said. Her age was not immediately available.
