A person was killed in a traffic crash early Sunday involving at least three vehicles on Interstate 5 near the Mexican border.
The crash on the southbound freeway, south of Camino De La Plaza, occurred a little after 2 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
Little information was immediately available, and it was not known if the person died at the scene or at an area hospital.
