Investigators asked for help Thursday in identifying the driver who fled the scene of a fatal hit-and-run in San Ysidro last fall.

Isabel Sandoval, 45, was walking westbound in the marked crosswalk along the 200 block of East San Ysidro Boulevard on Oct. 15 at 12:57 a.m.

As a silver SUV exited from northbound Interstate 805, it entered the intersection, striking Sandoval. The suspect fled, without stopping to offer aid or call 911.

The suspect’s vehicle was last seen driving west on East San Ysidro Boulevard.

Sandoval suffered multiple injuries as a result of the collision and died at the scene.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest in the Sandoval case.
