Authorities Tuesday publicly identified a motorcyclist who died in a solo crash Saturday evening on Interstate 5 in the Bay Park area.
Kristopher Bush, 42, of San Diego, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on northbound I-5 south of Garnet Avenue around 5:45 p.m. Saturday when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and went up an embankment on the right side of the highway, according to information from the California Highway Patrol and the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Bush was ejected from his motorcycle and suffered severe injuries.
Medics took him to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead at 6:11 p.m. Saturday, the Medical Examiner’s Office reported.
