California Highway Patrol officers found a wrecked and abandoned Ferrari on northbound Interstate 15 in Escondido early Thursday morning.

The officers were responding to reports at 1:30 a.m. that a vehicle had spun out and collided with the highway’s center divider wall near the Citracado Parkway exit.

When officers arrived, they found a black Ferrari 812 Superfast with crash damage that was partially blocking the fast lane. Officers pushed the vehicle off the freeway and called a tow truck.

The occupants of the vehicle later turned up at a local hospital. Their identities were not immediately available, and it was unclear if they would face hit-and-run charges.
