Authorities Thursday were searching for an at-risk 65-year-old man who was heading to San Diego to visit family and whose last known location was in the Mission Valley area.
Sergio Garcia was driving from Arizona when he started becoming lost and confused near El Cajon and was last heard from about 6 p.m. Wednesday near where Interstate 8 and Interstate 805 meet, according to San Diego Police.
His family told police he suffers from memory-loss issues and has diabetes requiring medication.
Garcia is Hispanic, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 225 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black jacket, San Francisco Giants baseball cap and jeans and driving a purple 2017 Honda Ridgeline with Arizona license plate PKA9CVA, police said.
Anyone who sees Garcia or knows of his whereabouts was asked to call San Diego police at 619-531-2000.
