
Two people suffered serious injuries in a six-vehicle crash on Highway 79 in the Sunshine Summit area of Warner Springs in rural northeastern San Diego County, authorities said Monday.
The collision was reported about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Cal Fire San Diego.
One patient was taken to a hospital by air ambulance, the other by ground ambulance, fire officials said.
Emergency units remained at the scene while the roadway is cleared.
