Four vehicles were impounded and 21 drivers were issued citations for being unlicensed or having a suspended license during a checkpoint, police said Saturday.
The checkpoint was conducted in the 600 block of E Street between 6 p.m. and midnight Friday, said Officer Oscar Miranda of the Chula Vista Police Department.
No drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, Miranda said.
Of the 932 vehicles that traveled through the checkpoint, 927 vehicles were screened and six drivers were given field sobriety tests, the officer said.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
