A pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday morning by a vehicle on Interstate 15 near the North Park neighborhood of San Diego.
The accident occurred on the northbound freeway, just south of El Cajon Boulevard, shortly after 5:05 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with authorities
A SigAlert was issued at 5:36 a.m. as the CHP closed all northbound lanes.
