A 24-hour Subway sandwich shop in Logan Heights was robbed shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday by a man who may have had a gun, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The suspect allegedly entered the business on National Avenue near S. 28th Street and went directly to the back of the shop where the lone employee was on duty at the cash register. According to San Diego police, the man simulated having a gun in his pocket and demanded money from the employee.

The suspect is described as being in his 30s or 40s, 6-feet tall with a heavy build, a mustache and a tattoo on his left hand. An officer said he was wearing square frame glasses and a brown hoodie.

The suspect left the scene on foot. The amount of money taken was not disclosed.
