A 46-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of DUI after she crashed an SUV into a house in the Otay Mesa area, but no one inside the house was injured.
The crash happened shortly before 3 a.m. on Norstad Street near Palm Avenue, San Diego police Public Affairs Officer Billy Hernandez said.
The 46-year-old woman sheared a fire hydrant near the intersection before crashing into the home, Hernandez said.
Officers arrested her nearby after she attempted to flee on foot, he said.
The woman, identified as Tracy Brown Kabonge, was booked into jail on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run, Hernandez said.
