A man in a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt robbed an Egger Highlands cellphone store Monday, authorities reported.
The thief, who appeared to be in his 30s, approached a clerk at the Verizon shop in the 1500 block of Palm Avenue and presented a demand note about 10:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.
The written message instructed the worker to hand over “all of the cellphones” and included a statement indicating that the bandit was armed with a gun, said Officer Tony Martinez.
After the victim gave him several mobile phones, the robber left the store and fled in an unknown direction.
