A shooting near Willie Henderson Sports Complex left a man wounded Friday.
The gunfire in the 900 block of South 45th Street in Mountain View was reported shortly before noon, according to San Diego police.
The 40-year-old victim was sitting in his vehicle when a “large” man approached and shot him several times in the upper body, then fled, according to San Diego police. Patrol officers found the victim in a car near Logan Avenue.
Medics took the victim to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds, said Officer Tony Martinez.
It was unclear if the two men were acquainted. Motive for the shooting was unknown.
No description of the shooter was immediately available.
