A woman who drove a truck through a parking lot barricade at an elementary school in Clairemont Mesa was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to OnSceneTV.

San Diego police were called to Lafayette Elementary School on Printwood Way just south of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard and Interstate 805 about 12:25 p.m. Thursday.

The woman, who was reported to have rammed her GMC truck through the chain barricade as she tried to enter the parking lot, was on the school grounds acting erratically, including screaming at a tree.

Students were never in any danger, according to the OnSceneTV report, and the school was not put in lockdown mode.

Officers were able to detain the woman without further incident, though they were forced to block her vehicle when she attempted to leave.

A variety of new, unopened tools were found in the cab of the truck. It’s not clear what prompted the incident, or what the woman’s current condition is.
