Two people overdosed, one fatally, in University City Friday and authorities discovered a cache of drugs at the scene.
Both San Diego police and firefighters responded to the 10 a.m. call in the 9500 block of Genesee Avenue, according to OnScene.TV.
Authorities believe the victims, a middle-aged male and female, overdosed on heroin, fentanyl or a combination of the two.
The pronounced the male victim dead on scene and transported the female to a hospital.
Police called in the Narcotics Task Force and the fire department’s HazMat Team due to the large quantities of drugs found on site.
