
Firefighters quickly knocked down a small brush fire Sunday afternoon, according to the Cleveland National Forest Fire Department.
The department received reports of a half-acre fire near Los Huecos Road in Mount Laguna at 2:51 p.m. and had it put out by 3:45 p.m, a spokeswoman said.
Units from Cal Fire San Diego assisted in controlling the blaze.
Firefighters were still mopping up the fire at 4 p.m.
