Police were searching Monday for a man who smashed the windows of 10 cars parked in Bankers Hill.
Witnesses called police around 11:30 p.m. Sunday to report a man using a metal pipe to smash the windows of cars parked on Fifth and Fir streets, according to the San Diego Police Department.

“He had a piece of metal, slamming it on windows. I mean, just one after another. He just started out of madness. Man, I couldn’t believe it,” a witness told 10News.
The man was described only as having a beard, according to San Diego police.
Witnesses told police the man was last seen jumping over a fence leading to Interstate 5 just before officers arrived.
