A 19-year-old man was shot in the arm at Kelly Street Park in Linda Vista Wednesday evening, and police were looking for a suspect.
The shooting was precipitated by an argument at the park at 6600 Kelly St., at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims.
Police said the victim was arguing with two Hispanic males, and one of them pulled out a gun and shot at him several times, striking him once in the left forearm. The suspects fled southbound on Kelly Street, while the victim was located two blocks away and taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 17-20 years old, wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and a dark baseball cap. San Diego Police gang detectives are investigating the case.
