A shooting near Colina del Sol Park left one person dead on Friday afternoon.
The deadly gunfire in the 5200 block of University Avenue was reported shortly before 3 p.m., according to San Diego Police.
The victim was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later, SDPD officials reported.
The assailant remained at large in the late afternoon.
