
About 70 customers in North Park were without water Sunday as public utility crews worked to repair a concrete water main, police said.

The broken pipe was reported in the area of Myrtle and Arnold avenues near Morley Field at about 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Water flowed toward homes in the 3400 block of Arizona Street, according to police.
San Diego Public Utilities Department crews shut down the water main at 9:30 a.m.
Service to customers was expected to be restored by 4 p.m. OnSceneTV reported that the water filled back yards, basements and garages.
Water main breaks have flooded North Park streets in each of the past two years.
