A real estate agent discovered a squatter inside an otherwise empty Spring Valley home on Saturday afternoon.
San Diego Sheriff‘s deputies received a call at about 1:20 p.m., alerting them to the intruder at a home on South Cordoba Avenue, Lt. David Buether said.
The agent told dispatchers she entered the house — located in a neighborhood south of state Route 94 and east of Barcelon Street — and was confronted by an unknown man inside. He grabbed the keys from her, and she ran and called for help.
Deputies arrived and instructed him to come outside. The man surrendered and was subsequently arrested, Buenther said.
