A fire badly damaged a mobile home in Oceanside Sunday afternoon, a fire department official said.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., firefighters headed to the Mission View Manor mobile home park near Douglas Drive and Mission Avenue following the report of a blaze at a home on Bahia Lane, according to Oceanside Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Stein.
Crews arrived five minutes after the call came in and found the mobile home engulfed in flames.
The fire was under control about 20 minutes later, and while firefighters were able to prevent flames from spreading to nearby homes, the mobile home where the fire started suffered significant damage, Stein said.
No was injured in the blaze. A cat also was saved by the resident.
The Red Cross was providing the displaced person with shelter, Stein said.
