Two motorists were hospitalized, one of them with life-threatening injuries, following a collision between a box truck and an SUV, police said.
The crash was reported shortly before 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Rancho Del Oro Road and San Ramon Drive, Oceanside Police Sgt. Tom Wayer said.
A man who was driving a 2015 Ford Explorer suffered life-threatening injuries and the box truck driver suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, the sergeant said.
Officers shut down Rancho Del Oro Road between Craven Road and San Ramon Drive for the crash investigation and clean-up.
