A two-car crash shut down lanes of Interstate 15 in North County Sunday afternoon.
The crash was first reported about 3:15 p.m. on northbound I-15 near Scripps Poway Parkway.
Dispatchers were told a car had come to rest in the center divide, while the other was stopped on the right-hand side of the freeway.
Initial reports suggested one of the cars had been going the wrong way, but CHP officers later determined that wasn’t true.
Authorities blocked the two left lanes of north I-15 in the area and issued a SigAlert.
At least two people were taken to hospitals, a fire dispatcher confirmed.
The CHP described their injuries as minor.
