The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department conducted the checkpoint Friday on West Mission Road near Pico Avenue, according to sheriff’s deputy Yvan Rogers.
Deputies evaluated 32 drivers, but ultimately arrested only one.
A total of 13 citations were issued for violations including being an unlicensed driver, driving without a license in possession and a registered car owner allowing an unlicensed driver to operate their vehicle, Rogers said.
Two cars were impounded in relation to those citations.
