Two people were stabbed during a fight Monday evening at a city park in the Lincoln Park area of southeast San Diego and one victim later died at a hospital.
Officers responded at 6:45 p.m. to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon and men fighting at Kennedy Neighborhood Park, according to Officer John Buttle of the San Diego Police Department.
The two victims were dropped off at a hospital in East County and one victim later died from his injuries, NBC7 reported.
Between eight and 20 people went to the park to continue a fight that had started a nearby taco shop, police said.
A detailed description of the suspect or suspects was not immediately available.
The ages and names of the victims were not disclosed.
