San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s homicide unit continue to look for leads in the unsolved 2000 murder of Andrew Moore.

Sept. 8 will mark the 19-year anniversary of Moore’s death, which occurred in 2000. Moore, a San Diego City College student, was murdered in his apartment in the 1300 block of 8th Ave., in San Diego.

As part of the crime, Moore’s 1994 Suzuki Katana motorcycle was stolen. The motorcycle was recovered on Oct. 17, 2000, in the 1300 block of 24th St.

Every year Moore’s family travels from Pennsylvania to San Diego to present a student at City College with a scholarship in their son’s name.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward and the Moore family has offered an additional $5,000 reward. The governor’s office is offering an additional $50,000 reward.
