Deputies with the Santee sheriff’s station will be conducting a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint in the city beginning Friday at 8:30 p.m. and lasting through 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
The location was not disclosed.
All vehicles may be checked and drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be arrested, according to a sheriff’s statement.
“Our objective is to send a clear message to those who are considering driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol and/or drugs,” sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Passalacqua said.
