A minor earthquake struck Thursday morning in the San Diego County mountains east of Julian.

The magnitude 3.0 quake struck about 1 a.m. and had a depth of about 3 miles, according to a computer-generated report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

The location was about 23 miles east of Julian and about 24 miles northeast of Alpine, the report said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

It was the second small quake to strike the San Diego County area in the past two days. On Tuesday morning a 3.4-magnitude temblor was reported near Lake Henshaw.
