No injuries were reported after a fire and possible explosion at a home in San Marcos on Sunday afternoon.

The blaze was reported just before 1 p.m. at a home on Valencia Avenue just west of Vista Colina Drive in the Lake San Marcos area, according to information from the San Marcos Fire Department.

There was reportedly an explosion before the fire began, according to San Diego County Sheriff’s Lt. Dave Perkins.

Firefighters had the blaze under control at 2:30 p.m., according to Perkins. Crews were still at the scene for cleanup, and investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
