A family of four was displaced Tuesday when a fire tore through their mobile home in a rural neighborhood north of Fallbrook.

The non-injury blaze erupted shortly before 8:45 a.m. near the intersection of Sandia Creek Road and East Sandia Creek Terrace, just south of the Riverside County line, North County Fire Protection District spokesman John Choi said.

Crews arrived to find the mobile home engulfed in flames, which spread to part of an adjacent storage unit, Choi said.

Firefighters determined no one was inside the residence and knocked down the flames within around 25 minutes, he said.

The two adults and two children displaced by the blaze were able to find temporary accommodations on their own, Choi said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
