A 48-year-old woman was hit with shrapnel and a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg Saturday during a gunfight started by two men in the Paradise Hills neighborhood.
It gunfight occurred about 5:25 p.m. outside a convenience store at Cumberland Street and Reo Drive, San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims said.
The woman who was hit with shrapnel and the boy who was shot in the thigh were both hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds, Heims said.
The two men who fled the scene uninjured and remain at large.
So far police have no suspect descriptions of the two men in the gunfight, Heims said.
