An injury crash on westbound Interstate 8 in El Cajon Sunday caused one vehicle to fly off the the freeway and overturn into a storm drain, according to reports from the scene.
The two-vehicle wreck was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. near the Mollison Avenue exit.
According to reports from the scene, the two vehicles collided for unknown reasons, sending one into the center divide and the other off the freeway, down an embankment, through a fence, and then upside down in a concrete storm drain.
At least three people were injured in the crash, two of whom has to extricated from the wreckage, according to reports from the scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
