A 48-year-old man who had been drinking alcohol was hurt Sunday when he crashed his dockless electric scooter into another scooter ahead of him.
The crash occurred at 6:05 p.m. in the 700 block of G Street in downtown San Diego, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.
The man was eastbound following a 43-year-old man on another scooter at an unsafe speed, Heims said. The first rider slowed down but the victim couldn’t slow down fast enough, collided and overturned.
The victim was drinking, but not cited for a DUI, Heims said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of a fractured arm.
