An 81-year-old man who was reported missing over the weekend from his assisted living home in the Shelltown area was found unharmed at the U.S.-Mexico border, police reported Tuesday.
Gilbert Trevisio, who wandered away from a retirement home in the 4000 block of Marine View Drive shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday, was located at the U.S.-Mexico border late Monday night, San Diego Police said.
Trevisio has dementia and believes he lives in Yuma, Arizona, police said.
He had been reported missing in the past and was previously found in downtown San Diego.
