A man was killed in rollover crash on a rural road in an unincorporated portion of San Diego County near Ramona, authorities said Wednesday.
Deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department‘s Poway Station responded about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday to the 15400 block of state Route 67 and discovered a Toyota Tundra pickup truck located off the road down a shallow ravine, a deputy said.
Investigators determined the driver was traveling southbound on state Route 67 and was unable to negotiate a curve in the road, lost control and drove into a ditch. The driver steered the Tundra back onto the road, but rolled over and off an embankment into a shallow ravine, the deputy said.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, the deputy said.
The name and age of the driver were not disclosed.
