Detectives Saturday were investigating the death of a woman found dead inside a City Heights apartment as a “possible homicide.”

The discovery was reported at 5:11 p.m. in the 3600 block of 45th Street, San Diego Police Lt. Matt Dobbs said. The 911 call came from a resident.

“The first patrol officers arrived and discovered a 21-year-old female deceased in an apartment,” Dobbs said. “The female had suffered apparent traumatic injuries.”

The initial investigation revealed the woman returned home at 5:45 a.m., nearly 12 hours before her body was discovered, he siad. “No suspects have been identified at this time.”
