John Marshall Elementary School in the Chollas Creek neighborhood of San Diego was placed on lockdown Wednesday as officers searched the area for a vandalism and domestic-violence suspect who was reportedly armed with a gun.
The roughly 40-minute precautionary lockdown at the 3550 Altadena Avenue campus went into effect around 12:30 p.m.
After the lockdown was lifted, San Diego police reported that the suspect was not found.
